When using alsacontrol -v +5 rapidly to adjust volume, the notifications are spammy and cause lag. This is in contrast to pasystray for example, which somehow seems to only use one notification while adjusting volume. An improvement could be made here, but I imagine it isn't worth the trouble to work on. I simply use amixer -c0 sset alsacontrol-output-volume 5%+ to not bother with notifications.
On my laptop, Pipewire randomly stopped working and I simply could not fix it. Luckily, I randomly found this application and it configured ALSA perfectly for me. I see no reason to even use Pipewire right now, especially on a minimal notebook like mine. Thank you for this application sir.
Forgot to mention: my notification daemon is dunst.
