Treeval ultra maps not showing contacts

I'm running v1.0.7 compiled on Debian 12 (the precompiled binary seems to require versions of C, C++ that are not available in Debian 12). The issue has been outlined here: sanger-tol/treeval#475. In short, no contacts are shown for treeval ultra maps, but work fine for hires and normal maps. No matter zoom and gamma levels, the ultra maps show no contacts at all.

I have now attempted this on a system running Fedora 43 with a Nvidia Quadro T2000 . The issue persists, but worse: I am now only able to see contacts for normal maps, and not for either hires or ultra. If I use nvidia optimus (__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia ./build_cmake/PretextViewAI) I am able to load the hires map. If I first load the hires map and then the ultra map, the program crashes with SIGSEGV, and if I attempt to load the ultra map directly following program start, the program hangs while trying to load textures from disk.

Using the datasets Yumi sent over slack, these are the screenshots on Fedora without using GPU:

If I use the GPU the normal one looks more or less the same, but the crashes described above remain for the ultra one.
