I'm very new to linux/github how do you recommend installing this?

Hi, sorry, this project is not really in a user-friendly state, more of a prototype.
You could just use cargo install --locked --git https://github.com/sammko/gloryctl.git to build and install it to ~/.cargo/bin. Some familliarity with the Rust toolchain helps.
