GPT_RAG: retrieval hardening slice

Why this issue is current

Current focus

Use issue #1 as the hardening slice: continue bounded vector indexing on /Users/d/Knowledge, prove semantic or hybrid retrieval on a targeted topic set, and promote a real project check path beyond the placeholder dependabot workflow.

GitHub currently shows only a queued dependabot-generated workflow run. The repo still needs a meaningful project check path that proves retrieval quality or at least core repo health.

Blocking reality

Semantic retrieval on the real corpus still needs more vector coverage, answer-quality validation, and a decision on whether any deployment surface should be tracked at all.

First real corpus proof for GPT_RAG using /Users/d/Knowledge.

• Live ingest completed for 18,989 markdown documents with 0 failures (run_id=1).
• Local SQLite now holds 64,578 chunks from the knowledge corpus.
• Controlled vector indexing made forward progress and produced 120 vectors in the first live pass.
• Lexical retrieval for 'API versioning strategies' returned exact matches from the corpus, including /Users/d/Knowledge/Patterns/API_Versioning_Strategies-20260114-120040.md and /Users/d/Knowledge/Web-Api/API_Versioning_Strategies-20260114-142831.md.
