Process

Step 1 - I was able to follow the documentation.

Step 2 - The documentation seemed clear to me.

Step 3 - The documentation didn't have any obvious errors.

While testing this tutorial on Ubuntu Resolute AMD64 with ROS 2 Lyrical using Debian packages and CycloneDDS, the rqt installation command:

sudo apt install '~nros-lyrical-rqt*'

resulted in dependency resolution failures due to optional packages with unresolved dependencies.

I opened an upstream documentation PR to narrow the installation command to the core rqt packages using the command:

sudo apt install ros-lyrical-rqt ros-lyrical-rqt-common-plugins

i confirmed the following error,

root@tomoyafujita-B760M-Pro-RS-D4:/# apt install '~nros-lyrical-rqt*'
ros-lyrical-rqt-common-plugins is already the newest version (1.2.0-5resolute.20260508.170951).
ros-lyrical-rqt-common-plugins set to manually installed.
ros-lyrical-rqt is already the newest version (1.10.5-1resolute.20260508.165921).
Solving dependencies... Error!
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Error: Unable to satisfy dependencies. Reached two conflicting assignments:
   1. ros-lyrical-rqt-dotgraph:amd64=0.0.5-3resolute.20260508.164951 is selected for install
   2. ros-lyrical-rqt-dotgraph:amd64 Depends libpyside2-dev
      but none of the choices are installable:
      [no choices]

the real blocker is that PySide2 / PyQt5 gone from Resolute, and that generates the failure here.
it is obvious that we need to fix upstream bug in rqt-dotgraph... but at this moment ros2/ros2_documentation#6659 should do the work, and looks pretty enough to install those binaries.
