Differences between mode 2 and 5, and what is the best approach for HDR10+ to DV conversion

Hi,

first of all, a huge THANK YOU for this amazing tool. This is absolutely brilliant!
I'm going to convert some HDR10+ to DV8.1, and I would like to know what is the best approach, and what is the difference (and how to see it) between mode 2 and mode 5. I suspect I should see some differences, at least in file dimension, but I've tried both modes, and the files seem identical.
