Questions about ESAT package #40

Dear community,

My name is Charlie Opazo, and I am a Research Assistant at the University of Chile and Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Our research group is currently working with hourly (and sub-hourly) measurements of volatile organic compounds collected in an industrial area near Santiago, Chile. We are interested in applying Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) to our dataset in order to identify and quantify source contributions.

I am new to PMF analysis and to use EPA PMF5. However, during my review I found your ESAT package. After reading your paper and the available documentation, I found the package interesting and valuable. I would like to congratulate you for the effort put into developing the package.

However, I have a few questions. Would you recommend using the ESAT package instead of EPA PMF5 software? Does ESAT include all functionalities to those available in EPA PMF5, in order to test the parameters during PMF analysis? Additionally, do you have any recommendations or advice to work with ESAT?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could provide.

Best regards.
