After cleaning up the package I am still not happy about the systemd service used as a hack to modprobe the module and ignore any errors it returns. The original packaging work explains that this is necessary because modprobe SIGSEV on the "platform" that it is used on.
The root cause should be investigated, documented and eventually fixed to better understand why this is needed.
