False unread messages count in rooms

Greetings! I've been following this tutorial https://pusher.com/tutorials/unread-messages-react, with exact same code. However, after rapidly switching rooms a couple of times I get what seems to be an arbitrary number of unread messages in them. Could someone please explain to me how to deal with this behavior ?

Hi again, we haven't been able to reproduce this on our side. Just gave the example code a look could not observe the issues you've described.

I would suggest comparing what you've done with the example code to rule out any coding errors. If you still see the error would appreciate if you could provide a reproduction.
