how to erase part of the drawing, not all the line/shape ?

Could you please add another type of eraser so that we can just erase part of the line/shape ?

for these three drawing tools, clicks scroll through the following filling options:
no filling → colored (filled) area → outer filling (interior remains empty) → white filling → black filling

how can I disable other filling options and stay with "no filling" mode all the time ?

Strokes are object : there is no easy way to erase points directly.

The only thing I can Imagine is a new tool to be added in 3rd position behind scale and rotate.

• first click/touch will select the stroke to be shorten,
• second click/touch to identify where to cut (the point will be the nearest point to the click)
• third click will identify the part to remove

This will not cut lines at edges but not in the middle of a line.

This is still a major development. to be done and not sure there will be a lot of use : ppInk is design to draft on screen and if a line is not like you wish it, the easiest is to undo (ctrl+Z) and then redraw.

If you want to propose a PR do no hesitate.

I Do not understand where is the issue : no filling being the first, every time you select a drawing tool the no filling will be the default.

3 Could you add a feature that automatically turns the line into a straight line if you don't release your finger while drawing?

again I do not understand : the straight line line is avaiable as a tool, which has a short cut to toggle between hand drawing/straight line with the shift or ctrl key.

1. I often draw relatively complex diagrams. When I want to erase only a specific part of the drawing, the current eraser function removes entire strokes. This ends up erasing all the lines involved and damages other parts of the diagram.

So I hope a partial erasing feature similar to GoodNotes could be introduced, where only the part I erase is removed instead of the whole stroke being deleted.

2. The issue is that when I switch between different tools, I sometimes misclick or accidentally press a shortcut key twice. This causes me to enter filling mode, which is something I do not want. I currently do not use filling mode at all, so I would prefer to completely disable it.

3. The auto-straight-line feature when holding the pen down without lifting it is very convenient and feels natural for writing, so it is used very frequently. Even though there is already a straight-line tool, it would be extremely convenient if a straight line could be generated automatically in hand mode when the pen is held without lifting.

As said the elementary objects are strokes as identified in Microsoft.Ink My proposal is feasable but not trivial to be done. Feel free to propose PR for other implementation.
