Work in progress for rv1103/rv1106 support on Linux 6.6

This repo is a fork of linux-stable to work on supporting tiny rockchip SoCs
rv1103 and rv1106 based on mainline linux 6.6 (rather than android/rockchip
kernels)

The main use case is for running OpenWrt 24.10 / kernel 6.6 on these rockchips.

The project evolved out of @pengphei's effort to bring OpenWrt to Luckfox pico
targets, see these issue comments

There's a lot to be done to get this working smoothly, but having OpenWrt 24.10 with this only modestly patched upstream kernel 6.6.93 (mostly just by adding files, and updating some upstream rockchip specifics) is a good starting point.

What's the intent for discussions here versus your OpenWRT fork? Which one would be more appropriate for things that don't involve the kernel?

I've started a few over there already, but now wondering if they should be here instead. Or maybe these should be over there, I don't know. 🙃

Hi @rgrizzell,

The work here will eventually become part of the OpenWrt fork in form of kernel patches for the rockchip rv11xx targets, and from there hopefully contributions to OpenWrt upstream.

However, this repo is not dependent on openwrt per se, it's just about adding rv110x support to stable Linux 6.6 instead of using the heavily modified rockchip kernel branch, and as such possibly of interest also to other distros than just OpenWrt.

So I think it still makes sense to have this discussion for pure rv110x kernel topics, and refer to it from the OpenWrt discussion when needed.
