I would like to be able to..

Not rely on 3rd party head rendering services.

It is possible to read texture from GameProfile on Spigot. Other platforms likely have similar possibilities.

Storing the head and helmet texture will allow rendering a png on request to the Plan webserver.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Crafatar has been down since November 2025 and seems to have been abandoned.

Since the player head address is configurable this is not super urgent, but would remove the dependency on 3rd party head services.

Crafatar is the 3rd head image service to go down so I'm pretty much done trusting 3rd party services for this.
