How to get the tool path to include the width of the tool when cutting from an SVG image #13

Hi,

I am wondering how I get the generated tool path to include allowance for the diameter of the cutting tool when generating a engraving path from an SVG. To explain more - I generated a gear in inkscape and saved as SVG. Imported into pycam and engraved it. The tool path seems to follow the outline of the SVG without regards to the width of the cutting bit. In other words the gear teeth are smaller by the width (or maybe radius) of the bit as it cuts the outline. Is there some setting or steps I am missing?

I am using the latest version. I also tried version 0.5.1 and did not see much difference when including the offset to account for the width of the tool bit.

Thanks
