Should AssertJ be on Gitter?

Sometimes, users and contributors would like to engage more interactively with both maintainers and the rest of the community, and communicating via GitHub might feel intimidating.

Idea: Apache Slack or Commonhaus (once they get a slack channel).
Please no discord (gamers), Telegram (no threads, no encryption). Gitter/Matrix is very technical and doesn't have a lot of users, albeit it's the best option for anonymity.

Of course, I'm biased because I'm already on umpteen slack channels...

AssertJ doesn't belong to either Apache or Commonhaus, so I think we should have our own solution. Slack free plan is likely a no-go due to the 90 days limit.

No opinion except that Spring Boot was quite active for a long time and we dropped it as it ended up being more a space for spam than anything else.

The JUnit team also dropped Gitter; in favor of GH discussions.

Based on the feedback received and experience from other projects, we will not open a Gitter channel and will continue using GitHub Discussions for knowledge sharing.
