thanks for the idea! might be little early to do this kind of thing given we have other features to prioritize in the Calendar scope itself. we can certainly think about it in future. |

Most probably, I saw an issue where you replied that KashCal was supposed to be Calendar focused but not a task manager. I am using KashCal extensively.
For task management, I found a really cool project like this one Mindwtr which also supports all major platforms. This project supports scheduled tasks and can push to a calendar. Like KashCal, I guess it's using a similar method to have local calendars, though it can push to a shared calendar, too.
So I was wondering if you would like to add support for it ?
If you want to add support, then I will list what we have to do. I'll open discussion threads in both projects. BTW for KashCal, it's not much, I think.
Just basic MD support in notes and having a common file or something (eg., ics), so only these two can have common calendars and no other apps even with calendar access can't access it.
Also I would like to mention about proposed tag/category feature. Maybe I've already mentioned that if it's possible to assign color to the tags.
Use case:
Currently when you open the calendar if there are events then max 3 dots (with different colors) are marked under a date. We can also add 3 at the top of the date resulting total of 6. BTW actually why I'm mentioning these suppose I have an important event then I want that to be visible (I use Tomato & Dark Orange for these types of events.
Now KashCal serially counts the 3 color in sequence (doesn't matter how many events are there if first 3 has different color it won't check anything after the 3rd). That means it drops Tomato or Dark Orange if those are present later.
I was thinking if we could also add colors for some tags/categories. Regarding Mindwtr it has contex (using @) and tags (using #), so I was wondering if contexts or tags are read by KashCal's tags/category & we can assign priority color for tags/categories then it can automatically show when there's an important event.
I know I'm talking all over the places. It's just an idea I'm sharing. Let me know what you think.
