Hello,
Could it be possible that BredOS supports H96 MAX V58 Rk3588, one of the most common RK3588 box??
It's also the cheapest RK3588 box, mainly because the firmware of the box isn't the best, it tend to overtheat because of the OS.

We tried to obtain one a while back but they said we can't get a board :/
Without one we cant really provide support for it, you can try building an image but I don't know how that will go. Feel free to reach out on Discord or TG Rippanda12 if you encounter issues

Without a unit, there is very little we can do.
But should you get a uboot binary and a device tree source (dts) it should be pretty straightforward.
Should you have a speck of luck (unlike me) it should be fairly simple. So best of luck.

Could you please explain in what a Uboot file and DTS file can help me? (and where to find one?)

Using rkdeveloptool you can save a full system backup of your device.
The package bredos-tools, available for any architecture provides a convenient script to dump the device contents, rkdump.
Should you have a full backup, you can fully revert any and all changes.
You can add the BredOS repositories to any arch system, x86 or ARM.

U-Boot is a simple bootloader for ARM devices, and what is commonly used to boot RK3588 devices. Inside the current device filesystem, or online somewhere you should be able to find the binary or source.

Device Tree is a file describing your hardware to the bootloader and kernel, doing what ACPI does for x86. You can probably find it on your existing filesystem, online kernel sources, or you can decompile it from your current dtb, against the kernel on the filesystem.

Hello Rippanda12! I was wondering what would happen if I tried to install Bredos on my H96 MAX V58? Would it automatically brick it or is there a possibility that it work? My system is rooted fine via magisk. how could I try to install your os on my box?? I'm asking because I can't see how to boot from usb or boot from a micro sd card on this box (there are 2 usb port but no micro sd slot), If can go in the recovery I cannot boot from usb and I cannot seem to boot on usb adapter with microsd inside despirte in the menu there is a microsd menu, how can I boot on a media? Regards

Rippanda12 is not available at the moment and has directed me to respond to you.

The RK3588 chip boots using U-Boot as previously stated. On every bootable medium for it there is a bootloader at the start of the disk.
It is not visible through any filesystem.
RK3588 supports booting from emmc or sdcard if present, not usb.

Installing BredOS onto the system would involve overwriting flash.
Failing to install a functional build on any RK3588 device will result in the device not functioning.

Having saved a backup however would allow you to easily recover, so the device would not be bricked. It could always be recovered.

Custom operating systems, especially on unsupported devices, are not simple. ARM is not x64, the experience is different.
