Better integration with major agentic CLIs and IDEs

A lot has happened in the last 5 months on the market. For the 1.0.0 release, we should create dedicated contexts and modes as well as improved documentation for integrating Serena with the major providers. This includes the newest versions of:

• Claude Code
• Claude Desktop
• Codex
• OpenHands CLI
• Gemini CLI
• Github CLI
• Copilot
• JetBrains IDE agents
• Zed
• VSCode

For each of those, the default context should have a tuned selection of tools and maybe some tuned prompts that help interoperability of Serena's tools with the agent's internal tools. We could (and maybe should) also introduce versioning for contexts.

Maybe also closed-source resellers like:

• Cursor
• Windsurf
• Amp
• Antigravity

and so on. For them, I would rather leave integration to the community or take money from them. I kinda don't feel like endorsing closed-source, paid middlemen between the LLM and the code, Serena could be viewed as competition/replacement. Still, worth thinking about it at least (as it would increase Serena's reach).

I have tried all suggested solutions (including log-level fixes) and configurations known to work on other clients (like Cursor), but I am still hitting an error.

Hi everyone,
I’m running Serena MCP on Windows with the Antigravity IDE, and I wanted to share a configuration that works reliably for me. Hopefully this helps users who are still running into issues.

Here is the config I’m using:

With this setup, Serena initializes correctly inside Antigravity on Windows.

If you encounter port‑binding errors (e.g., port 9121 already in use), it’s often because a previous Serena process is still running in the background. On Windows, you can safely kill leftover processes using:

taskkill /F /IM python.exe /T
taskkill /F /IM uv.exe /T

After killing these processes, restarting Antigravity usually resolves the issue.

@TheLastCode-yt I also can't get it to work on Antigravity in Windows, I believe it's a bug in Antigravity. We have documented it now.

@HuynhSang2005 I don't understand how that could possibly work. Sure, it will start the Serena server, but the AI agent won't connect to it. Antigravity even documents that they don't support non-stdio protocols for now. But even if they did, this would not be the way to connect to it. Did you just check that the Serena server was running, or were the Serena tools actually usable?
