Add standard scrolling to left sidebar

Here we are looking at a members list with 251 items

The only way to scroll the list is with the mouse wheel.
To get to the bottom of the list one must roll the wheel many many times.
The keyboard PageDown button does not work.
The keyboard End button does not work.
There is no scrollbar that the user can grab to quickly move around or get to the end of the list with.

You never know when the left sidebar will get really long. Therefore standard scrolling features need to be allowed.

Thanks for reporting this I can clearly reproduce the issue from the screenshot and description.

It looks like the left sidebar container does not have a constrained height or standard overflow handling, which prevents:
-1 visible scrollbars
-2 keyboard scrolling (PageDown / End)

I’d like to work on this by:

• identifying the sidebar container responsible for rendering the members list
• applying standard scrolling behavior (constrained height + overflow-y: auto)
• ensuring keyboard navigation and scrollbar visibility work as expected

If this approach sounds good, I can take this up and submit a PR. Thanks!

I’ve opened PR #11809 which focuses specifically on improving keyboard scrolling behavior for the member list inside the left sidebar (Arrow / Page / Home / End keys, and preventing map movement while the list is focused).

This PR does not yet address the broader left sidebar layout or CSS overflow handling (overflow-y, constrained height). The approach @rohitmishra318 suggested for container-level scrolling makes sense and seems complementary.

Happy to adjust scope or coordinate so the fixes don’t overlap.

But there is the standard scrollbar on the left sidebar for me (Firefox @ Windows 10), notwithstanding that the "standard" of today is the fancy & annoying "show scroll button on mouse hover".:

...so I'm a bit confused what this PR is supposed to deliver.
