• Minimum java version 11->21 (decided in milestone of 2.0.0, see also Remove support for Java EE and remove webapp-javax modules on release 2.0.0 (that were deprecated on 1.7.0) #172)
• javax drop see Drop webapp-javax modules #188
• jackson version 3 see Jackson 3 support #187 / Jackson 3 #186

Analysis as a table with columns at least: current dependency version, suggested dependency version, analysis and reasons to upgrade (or to keep old version, or to remove dependency fully).

Drop following modules 2.0.0:

• hakunapi-telemetry-opentelemetry
  • hakunapi-telemetry (Logger based implementation outputting JSON) and NOP telemetry remain
  • Additionally drop hakunapi-telemetry-webapp-jakarta which bundles the OpenTelemetry implementation to the generated war
• hakunapi-source-oracle
  • The module is a bit outdated and has some issues
  • Additionally drop hakunapi-oracle-webapp-jakarta which bundles the hakunapi-source-oracle and hakunapi-telemetry-opentelemetry to the generated war

• in this meeting decided also that following library changes are targeted for the Hakunapi 2.0.0 release
  • HikariCP currently 4.0.3 (4.0.3 is the last Java 8 release; current line is 7.x), update to 7.x
  • SQLite JDBC currently 3.47.0.0, update to newer one
  • Caffeine currently 2.9.3 (with comments 3.x targets Java 11+; no known reason to stay on 2.9), update to newer one
  • Log4j from 2.25.4 to 2.26.0
• also decided that following changes are targeted to the Hakunapi 2.1.0 release
  • GeoTools currently 34.2, goal to update to 35.0 when it shall be available (35.0 release candidate April 2026, no info yet about production release, this relates to GeoServer 3.x)
  • JTS: currently 1.20, plan to keep on sync with GeoTools
  • SLF4J currently 1.7.25 (with comments SLF4J 2.x is the current line (and Log4j 2.25 supports it.)), update to newer at same time as updates on GeoTools and JTS
• about Hakunapi 2.0.0 release time schedule
  • these changes and those mentioned in Plan how community modules can be linked to the Hakunapi core repository #173 implemented in beginning of June 2026
  • when ready 2.0.0 release branch is used to test changes at NLS of Finland services (dev and qa environments) - June/July 2026
  • next meeting 22th June 2026
  • official release 2.0.0 tagged on beginning of August 2026
