Approvals are not visible in External Storage

Steps to reproduce

1. Install External Storage
2. Connect external Storage via WebDav
3. Setup approval process
4. Request approval of a file located on External Storage
5. Check file status in External Storage

Expected behaviour

Tell us what should happen

Approval Status and assigned Tag are visible to everybody who has access to External Storage.

Actual behaviour

Tell us what happens instead, if possible also add a screenshot

Approval Status and assigned Tag are NOT visible to everybody who has access to External Storage. It is visible only to the requester and approver. I think it is due to the internal share created by the app. External Storage must be shared via Nextcloud so users can see approvals.

Server configuration

Web server: Apache/Nginx

Database: MySQL/Maria/SQLite/PostgreSQL

PHP version: 8.2/8.3/8.4

Nextcloud version: (see Nextcloud admin page)

Hi @vladimirsharnin,

I couldn't recreate this. What I tried:

1. Install and setup external storage and give Alice and user1 access to it.
2. Alice creates document and requests approval from admin.
3. Admin approves file.
4. User1, alice, and admin can see that file was approved.

If I misunderstood the issue feel free to correct me.

I assume that in step one, you gave access to Alice and user1 by sharing the content of the external storage (created a share for Alice and user1). Please confirm that. This way it works on my end as well, but it is not a solution in my case.

I was referring to another situation in which storage was made available to users via the admin settings in the External storage setup.

In step 1 I gave access to the external share to both Alice and user1 in the admin settings not the file. Can you see if you can recreate it in https://github.com/szaimen/nextcloud-easy-test and list the steps you took.
