[feature request] Activation mode to choose scroll area instead of tabbing through them

For apps with multiple scroll areas, it's cumbersome to activate scroll mode then tab to get the one you want. Is there an easier way already?

If not, it'd be nice to have some kind of activation mode where you could choose the scroll area up front.
