I builded one image straight on the device but when it booted it did not connect to wifi with networkmanager as it did before and bluetooth devices did not connect (bluetoothctl) and the gui failed to start.

Can confirm this doesn't build.

I even went the extra mile and tried to build this on a arm platform to see if arcjitecture could have fixed something but it still doesn't work.

just letting you know that i doubt it, i lack the knowledge to do so.

i like the overall idea but afaik the nixmobile project is not mature enough. After being very pleased and having basically ported most of what i wanted from my own flake to the basic configuration i tried updating and the new nixpkgs revision broke everything. So as of now this only works with the specific commit in this githuib repo flake.lock. As soon as you nix flake update and rebuild you'll end up into a black screen with no touch support to try and debug it and no way to connect an external keyboard either.

plus the lack of a proper bootloader that allows you to select a previous iteration of the system forcing you to do it manually from command (only you can't if the build breaks caus again no touch nor bluetooth in emergency console) basically makes the effort not worh as you loose nixos main advantage.

i then moved to postmarket OS where things are bit more mature, you can actually update and if something goes wrong you have a touch keyboard in emergency mode to debug stuff.

Mad props to the owner of this flake though. I really like the idea.
