How to built php-dmtx?

After downloading sources from gitbhub i try to configure php-dmtx via

• phpize
• ./configure

Configure exits with:
checking for dmtx.h header... configure: error: Cannot locate dmtx.h header

is there somehting missing in the repository or what am i doing wrong?

have you installed libdmtx from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/libdmtx/files/libdmtx/0.7.2/libdmtx-0.7.2.tar.bz2/download ?

No, i installed it via debian/testing dpkg and have currently installed:
ii libdmtx-utils 0.7.2-1 Utilities for reading and writing Data Matri
ii libdmtx0a 0.7.2-1 Data Matrix barcodes (runtime library)

wrong approach?

You probably need the -dev packages as well.

ouch! Should drink some more coffee before doing such things.
Of course it was the missing dev library.

libmagickwand-dev is needed as well.
