Latest Synapse software requires it to be open for using Profile #4

I've been enjoying MiniSynapse for the last few years. Thanks for that :)
I recently updated the Synapse software, and I think this forces the user to keep Synapse running to use a keyboard profile. I checked my MiniSynapse installation, and it looks fine. When I manually start Synapse, I can use my keyboard profile, but when I exit it, the Keybindings don't work anymore. Did anyone else experience this issue? In that case, using an older version of Synapse might be best.
