Importing merge takes too long

In my developer machine (M1 Ultra, SSD) import merge takes 1.7s. And it takes up to 5s in production (docker). This causes a significant slowdown in our app startup and the DX.

Can we do something about this? Perhaps this is related to #105.

Huge 👍🏻 to this. Merge is our slowest 3rd party dependency, taking many time longer than the next slowest one.

This takes ten seconds to import for us on our production pods...

We reached out to Merge and this issue was addressed by implementing lazy loading for the most recent client (2.3 as of this writing). You should just need to update the client and that's it. We saw initial performance issues with client version 2.1.1 taking up to 10 seconds in production. Local time was about 1.47 seconds. Local time with new client is about 0.012 seconds.
