Render descriptions as markdown

Perhaps we should render descriptions as markdown since some authors already put markdown inside it. See this search for reference. @freeall what is your opinion on this?

A solution could also be to "unmarkdown" the descriptions.

Great idea. Haven't seen many descriptions written in markdown, but if the overhead isn't extensive I don't see why we shouldn't :)
