Jamku 👩🏻‍🦰 Pulse Installation Guide

Welcome!
This guide will help you install Jamku Pulse step-by-step.
You don’t need to be very technical — just follow each step carefully.

⚙️ How it runs?

Jamku Pulse is a software that runs on one computer (server) inside your office.
Once it starts, everyone in your office network can open it from their browser using the computer’s local IP address (example: http://192.168.1.45:3000).

It works like a mini-website inside your office — All the data is stored on this server PC. This provides 100% privacy.

The Jamku Pulse will not change any OS settings on your PC. Think of it as "Portable App".

🖥️ Step 1: Choose the Installation Location

Before downloading, decide where you will install Jamku Pulse.

✅ Recommended locations:

• C:\pulse
• or D:\pulse
• or D:\jamku-pulse
• or D:\apps\pulse

📌 Important:
Don’t install it inside too many folders like C:\Users\Admin\Documents\Software\Office\Jamku\pulse —
because Windows has a maximum path length limit. Keeping it short avoids future issues.

🧩 Choosing the Right Computer (Server PC)

The computer where you install and run Jamku Pulse will act as the Server PC.

• The Server PC should have a static local IP address, meaning the IP address of the computer should remain the same every day.
• If you already have other office software like Tally License Server, then most likely your Server PC already has a static local IP.
• We are talking about local IP address (like 192.168.x.x), not the internet or ISP static IP — both are very different things.
• You can configure this in your router.
• Don’t worry — the Server PC can be any normal Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer. It doesn’t need to be a special or high-end machine.

💻 PC Configuration

1. Only windows OS which was released after Nov 2018 is supported. Which mean all versions of Win 11 and Win 10 version 1809 or later
2. Intel CPU - Nehalem (1st gen Core) or newer (Haswell 4th gen) | AMD CPU - Bulldozer or newer (Excavator). Basically anything bought after 2018 should work fine.
3. If you are running other RAM heavy software (i.e. browser) on the PC, 8GB RAM is recommended. 4GB is fine if you are not using the PC for browsing.

⬇️ Step 2: Download the Required Files

1. Download Jamku Pulse Software

   • Go to the official GitHub Releases page for Jamku Pulse.
   • Download the ZIP file. It is named jamku-pulse.zip

2. Download Chrome for Automation (Windows)

   • Download it from this link:
   • Clicking on this link with download chrome-win64.zip.
   • This Chrome is used internally by Jamku Pulse for loading WhatsApp web. This is an officially released version of chrome by Google.

📂 Step 3: Unzip the Files

After both files are downloaded:

1. Right-click the jamku-pulse.zip ZIP file → click Extract All...
2. Choose your installation folder (C:\pulse or D:\pulse) → click Extract
3. Do the same for the chrome-win64.zip ZIP file.
   Keep it in the same folder for convenience.

After this step, you should see something like this inside your C:\pulse folder:

C:\pulse
 ├── jamku-pulse.exe
 ├── chrome-win64\
 └── other supporting files... Covered in next section...

And the C:\pulse\chrome-win64 will something like this

C:\pulse\chrome-win64
 ├── chrome.exe
 ├── chrome_proxy.exe
 ├── chrome.dll
 ├── locales\
 ├── resources\
 └── and many files and folders...

🔑 Step 4: Get Your LIC_KEY (License Key)

Currently, this part is manual. We are working on making this process automated
You’ll need to contact our team to generate your license key.

Run the jamku_pulse.exe file. Just double click. This will generate a license file.
Share this file or contents of this file with support team.

Tell them:

“I’ve installed Jamku Pulse and need my LIC_KEY. Here is the license file.”

They will verify your details and provide a LIC_KEY.
This LIC_KEY is tied to your device id and will only work on this PC.

📝 Step 5: Add the LIC_KEY and other info to .env File

Once you receive your LIC_KEY:

1. Open Notepad
2. Type this line:

LIC_KEY=your_key_here
CHROME_PATH=Path to the chrome.exe 

Example:

LIC_KEY = "ABC123XYZ789"
CHROME_PATH = "C:\\pulse\\chrome-win64\\chrome.exe"

Note the double \\ between the folder names.

3. Save the file in the same folder where jamku-pulse.exe is located.

   • File name must be exactly .env (including the dot at the beginning).

Now your folder should look like this:

C:\pulse
 ├── jamku-pulse.exe
 ├── .env
 ├── data.db (The main database. All the data will be stored in this. Never open this file)
 ├── license (This file is auto created by software. It contains your Device ID)
 ├── chrome-win64\
 ├── files\ (This is the primary path to store all the documents/ media pertaining to Messages)
 ├── certs\ (Stores the TLS certificates)
 └── ... (later, few more folders will be created by software automatically)

▶️ Step 6: Run Jamku Pulse

1. Double-click the file jamku-pulse.exe
2. A black window (Command Prompt) will open — don’t close it.
   • This means Jamku Pulse is now running.
3. In the same window, you’ll see a message like:

✅ Server running on http://localhost:3000 Press Ctrl+C to safely stop the server.
🌐 Access at: https://192.168.1.40:3000 or http://192.168.1.40:3000

🌐 Step 7: Open Jamku Pulse in Your Browser

1. Copy the address shown (for example: http://192.168.1.45:3000)
2. Open Browser (Chrome/Edge/Firefox/Opera supported)
3. Paste the address in the address bar and press Enter

📌 Important:
Use the link that starts with http:// (not https://) for now. We will configure https later in the guide. Https is only required for notifications; all the features will work fine with http.

If you see the Jamku Pulse Login Page,
🎉 Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed Jamku Pulse.

Now, your office team can open the same link (http://192.168.x.x:3000) on their computers (connected to the same Wi-Fi or LAN network) and use Jamku Pulse.

🧩 Notes

• If Jamku Pulse window is closed, the software stops working. To start again, just double-click jamku-pulse.exe.

• To make it run automatically when your computer starts, you can add a shortcut of jamku-pulse.exe to the Startup folder (optional).
