Provide option to include alerts associated with content import/export

Looker alerts are not currently supported in gzr content based commands

Does anybody know how to handle alerts with gzr (and ldeployer)?
Our users will only create them on our prod instance, which means every time we migrate content (dashboards) from qa to prod, the alerts will be "deleted" because they obviously don't exist on qa. We tried manually patching them in between exporting and importing to prod but then the alert follows are broken because of an id miss match, we think.
Any ideas?

edit: also, manually patching the alerts looks pretty fragile to me since they are attached to dashboard_elements, which is a list where each element has an id but it will change between instances when the dashboard is imported. It seems like it's pretty hard to know in which dashboard elements we need to patch the alerts into and have to solely rely on that the order of the list doesn't change.

Also, is there any way to get the followers of an alert via api? When we export the dashboard, the alert element only has the destinations which are defined in the alert definition. Followers seem to be separate from them.
