Description
OpenAI recently released the ChatGPT App SDK during DevDays 2025, making it possible for developers to go beyond prompts and build full apps with custom UIs directly inside ChatGPT—powered by their own MCP servers.
In this hands-on session, we’ll build a ChatGPT app step by step. You’ll see how to:
- Stand up an MCP server,
- Connect it to ChatGPT, and
- Layer on a custom UI with the new App SDK.
By the end, you’ll have a clear blueprint for turning your own tools and apps into fully integrated ChatGPT apps.

Speaker Bio
I'm a software engineer at Supabase, working on the AI tooling team where we develop and maintain Supabase’s MCP server. I'm also a keynote speaker, having presented on the Model Context Protocol at the MCP Dev Summit Europe and MCP Conference Berlin this year, and I organised the first MCP meetup in Portugal.
Before joining Supabase, I was a software engineer at SingleStore (formerly MemSQL), where I developed SingleStore’s MCP server and contributed to projects like the DrizzleORM driver. I'm a passionate sports lover and have competed at a competition level in more than four different sports.
