Strange encoder behavior Artery AT32F415

Hi!
I´m having a strange problem with the encoder on AT32F415 board, encoder connected to KC30: It works flawlessly for a while and after a while it stops working and only click works. I power off the board, wait for a while, power it on again, and the same happens, the encoder stops working. The more I wait between power off and power on, the longest the encoder will work until it stops working. Redid the cabling a few times, same results. Buttons keep working, speaker and display with no issues, loading also works. Only the green led fails to turn on also.
The Gotek is inside a Roland S-330 sampler, but exhibits the same behavior externally powered and with the diskette port disconnected.
any idea what's happening?

Ok. I found a solution, in the case of someone having the same problem:
I disconnected the FG (frame ground) pin from the floppy drive power connector.
I flashed FlashFloppy 4.7 onto the gotek.
I added 10K pull up resistors to the encoder pins.
