I've taken a look at the Ghost project and its feature requests. It seems like you're planning to implement a plugin system for custom modules, which is a great direction. However, I'm a bit concerned that the current implementation of the UserRepository class in __init__.py uses a JSON file for storing user data, which might not be the most scalable solution, especially considering the project's focus on OSINT and large-scale data processing. Have you considered using a more robust database solution, such as SQLite or PostgreSQL, for storing user data?

✅ Implemented: Proper Python Package Structure & CLI Entry Point

What was done

Package restructuring — Moved all source code into a proper ghost/ Python package:

• ghost/__init__.py with version info
• ghost/__main__.py entry point (python -m ghost)
• All subpackages: ghost/core/, ghost/modules/, ghost/ai/, ghost/backend/, ghost/ui/

pyproject.toml — Modern Python packaging with:

• Installable via pip install -e . (or pip install ghost-osint)
• ghost console script entry point (just type ghost after install)
• Proper dependency groups: core, [full] for optional heavy deps, [dev] for testing
• Metadata (classifiers, URLs, license)

CLI works end-to-end:

pip install -e .
ghost --help              # console script
python -m ghost --help    # module entry point
ghost investigate johndoe --type username

Tests expanded — Added 18 new tests (42 total, all passing):

• Username module (platform list validation, normalization, sherlock fallback)
• Config module (defaults, API key detection)
• Correlator engine (identity matching, timeline building, location correlation)
• AI analyzer fallback mode
• Summarizer heuristic mode
• Fixed deprecated asyncio.get_event_loop() in existing test

Updated Makefile with make install and make dev targets.

J' examiné votre réponse et je suis d'accord avec vous sur la nécessité d'une base de données plus robuste pour le projet Ghost. En effet, le stockage de données dans un fichier JSON peut ne pas être suffisamment échelle pour les grandes quantités de données que nous manipulons dans le cadre de l'OSINT.

Je suggère que nous considérions l'utilisation d'une base de données relationnelle comme PostgreSQL ou MySQL. Nous pourrions également utiliser un système de gestion de bases de données NoSQL comme MongoDB ou Cassandra, en fonction de nos besoins spécifiques.
