Hi Jeff,
this is a very interesting project! I recently bought an R60V and I am currently trying to come up with a way that every pulled shot is recorded with all the existing parameters (pressure, temp, extraction time) in a database. Were you able to do something like that?

Hi Miro! Thanks for the compliments. Sadly, I don't have an R60v myself - a friend does, but we've since moved far away from each other and I haven't gotten a chance to keep working on this. Maybe when I visit this fall I can pick back up the mantle :-)

As far as I can recall, getting the parameters themselves shouldn't be hard, as you can just query the machine's state and figure out what the settings are for each profile. The machine counts how many shots it has pulled but I don't think there's a way to get at history of what settings were used, so you would need to basically "catch it in the act" as it's running and log what it's doing.

For that, you probably will have to make something that stays connected to the machine, and periodically grab the display state and parse it. While the machine is running, the optional display you can buy to plug into it will show what profile is running; the network API lets you grab that same text too, though you may have to do some fiddling.

It also might be difficult getting something to stay reliably connected to the machine - at least in my experience, staying connected to the wifi for a long time made things get kinda wonky or the connection would break, so you may need to find a way to automate disconnecting and reconnecting.
