WP Read It

Browser-based text-to-speech bar using the built-in SpeechSynthesis API — no AI, no external service.
Adds a lightweight player bar to your WordPress posts, allowing visitors to listen to articles directly in their browser.

License: GPLv2 or later WordPress Tested

📦 Installation

Upload the plugin ZIP via WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin

Activate the plugin.

Go to Settings → WP Read It to select your preferred player theme.

Visit any post — the playback bar appears automatically above your content.
