EL10/AlmaLinux 10 repo metadata missing (404)

Hi IPbus maintainers,

I’m trying to install IPbus/controlhub on AlmaLinux 10.1, but the YUM/DNF repo metadata for EL10 appears to be missing.

Is there any other workaround? Or timeline of a new release supporting EL10/AlmaLinux 10?

Hi,

Unfortunately we haven't created a YUM repo for Alma 10 quite yet. One of the complications is that EPEL10 doesn't contain Erlang RPMs yet, which would be required to build the ControlHub for Alma 10; however, creating a uHAL-only YUM repo should be relatively simple. Do you need the ControlHub in your Alma 10 setup, or only uHAL?

Thank you for your reply.

At the moment, I do not actually need ControlHub in my setup, true. I have rolled back to AlmaLinux 9 for now, which was not a problem for me.
I was mainly curious about the release timeline for IPbus supporting Alma 10, and now it is clear to me that it is not up to the IPbus developers.

It would be nice if there was a single repo with ipbus rather than a release repo with just one set of versions and an updates repo with all the fixes.

A single repo would probably simplify workflows for more folks than just me.
