Can't install on Ubuntu 26.04

thats a rabbit hole trying to make it work there. After patching and trying to run a container on 24.04, I rolled the host back to 24.04.

you should be able to install latest igsc from intel-graphics-staging ppa

igsc 1.2.0 has yet to land on intel-graphics kobuk ppa, but available for now from the staging ppa

I didnt look at staging, but i made it mostly work on 26.04 before I gave up in dependency hell. My goal was to update firmware on the Arc b70s. Because the B70s reported PCIe 2.5 GT/s x1 (Gen1, 1 lane).

Firmware didn't solve my problem either, but this is what i figured out. And the best way to spend my Sunday. lol

@aravindksg As support for working also with the older 0.9.x IGSC versions was added just before release, I guess Depends could be e.g. for libgsc >= 0.9.5 (if package description is updated to state that v1.2 is needed for full FW support).

Because libigsc is loaded at run-time, instead of being linked directly, it might be even Recommends instead of Depends, so that users can install xpu-smi with --no-install-recommends, if they're not interested about FW related functionality (similarly to intel-metrics-* package deps).
