GWT 27.0.0 Banner Section 1 use of Smart Slider 3

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a website using the GWT WordPress Theme and I’m trying to replace the default banner with Smart Slider 3 in Banner Section 1.

The Issue:
Even after configuring the slider and placing the shortcode/PHP function in what I believe is the correct section, the slider simply does not display on the frontend. The area remains blank or continues to show the default theme banner. I tried embedding it in a post/page and it works. The problem is when I tried using it in the frontpage Banner 1.

Please confirm that the front page is not being rendered by a separate file, i.e. home.php, front-page.php. Best review WP template heirarchy. There are plugins you can use to confirm which template file is being rendered.

Found the solution:

Edit the banner.php file on the template folder/inc folder

From:

<div id="banner-section-1" class="<?php echo $banner_2_class ?>">
    <?php do_action( 'before_sidebar' ); ?>
    <?php dynamic_sidebar( 'banner-section-1' ) ?>
</div>

To this:

Edit functions.php, add this to the last line:
add_filter( 'widget_text', 'do_shortcode' );
