Just to add my two cents, I thought I would mention a few ideas (that may have been raised before) about what would make an excellent app even better.
For me joint best app on the Deck with PowerTools, so not complaining about the incredible work you've done so far.
Game-changers
- Favourite or saved guides option. So that you can easily get back without typing the name, selecting the FAQ etc. Would also make playing a few different games on the go at the same time easier.
- Bookmarking a guide. So that you can choose to restore a previously visited guide to the last place you were at after a crash etc. Or even have the last visited place pop-up when reloading! Previously I've just had to keep the deck in standby mode, which works but isn't ideal and is lost on reset.
- Stability. I've probably had 10-20 full Steamdeck reboots using the app. Still worth the risk but if the cause could be identified and removed it would be amazing.
Quality of life
- When expanding a guide from the smaller view, the guide moves to a different spot, because of this I never use full screen view.
- Looking for guides without the names, most recommended markers, and other stats I usually have to separately load up GameFaqs and pick a guide, then remember the place (11th in list etc) then go down each time, if there were a few more bits of metadata, it would negate the need to do this.
- Sometimes a full guide won't load, this can be identified by searching for a later chapter that sometimes won't appear. This seems inconsistent, but would be a problem if bookmarking was built in as full guides would be required.
