Device type for home's total power consumption to show in energy dashboard

I tried adding an `ENERGY_METER` device and populating it with my Fronius system's overall power usage value. But also if I add it to the app as »Misst den Stromverbrauch«, it would not show overall usage on the energy dashboard. What is the correct way to provide total power consumption?
