Add `iter` to run a function in all the workers?

What do you think of adding a function to iterate over all the workers and run a specific function. Would you accept a patch doing this?

Aslo I am not very familiar with the codebase, so if you happen to know how to implement that easily, feel free to suggest how to do it :-)

I would happily accept such patch! I'll take a look and comment back here if I have any suggestions.
