Rebase and integrate stats page

The stats page feature appears to already have been developed (see #962), but not yet merged. We should rebase and if necessary, make the appropriate changes to integrate it with the dashboard.

Maybe it would be better to make a new branch and PR for this?

Turns out that #962 has all the changes from #961.

adding this to current TODO list. Sonia has required something similar from us, this pre existing stuff would be a fantastic start. I tried running it locally and there are a ton of errors, but if we can get through those we can see the viability
