new versus old cmake on office machine

It is now working again on your office box. I have tested that #4 is fixed there for gtmfe as well. The cmake documentation file is now changed. It includes new options for setting which MacOS config to use. It also provides a paragraph or so of description of the rationale for maintaining three separate CMakeLists.txt files.
