Can't read text on Bing.com and Whatsapp

Using Microsoft-Edge-Dev, it happens only if using bing(as in going to bing.com) and whatsapp:

Same here. I'm using google-chrome on Arch.

All the elements on chrome and some webpage contents are set the same color as background,
which makes them impossible to read.

I suspect it's an issue with Chromium's font rendering. See if setting a different font, and restarting Chromium fixes it. If yes, perhaps look at chrome://flags for anything text or font related. chrome://flags/#enable-pixel-canvas-recording for example looks interesting. You might also wanna look at chrome://flags/#skia-graphite.

I reckon you should report your findings to the Chromium developers.

Thing is, it works both on Chrome, Chromium and Opera... it's just microsoft edge(on linux)... i can't wrap my head around why, it doesn't bother me that much, but why

found out helvetica font bugs out in anything chromium-based, switch to a different font (havent found a solution to this yet)

Here's the fix (make sure to close/kill your browser first)

rm -rf ~/.fonts/bitmap/cronyx-cyrillic
rm -rf ~/.cache/fontconfig
fc-cache -fv

But I wonder what are these folders for.
And also, why this bug only affect chrome, while my firefox can display text without issues?

cronyx-cyrillic is the helvetica font that Chicago95 installs, but appears to be broken. As far as I can tell Chrome isn't properly falling back to another font when it fails to use it, like firefox does.
