SSH Authentication without CLI #959

Description

@tonideleo

I followed all the steps in the documentation to enable SSH authentication, but when I try to connect via ssh without the authentik CLI, I get asked the authentik password, nothing happens and I keep getting asked just the system password:

adeleo@ES3SD-NB3038 [~]: ssh adeleo@10.2.3.82
(adeleo@10.2.3.82) authentik Password:
(adeleo@10.2.3.82) Password:
(adeleo@10.2.3.82) authentik Password:
(adeleo@10.2.3.82) Password:
(adeleo@10.2.3.82) authentik Password:

One other thing I noticed (not sure if important) is that in the Menu -> Endpoint Devices -> Devices -> on my registered machine, in the Users/Groups I cannot seem to bind any user/group. Whenever I click on apply nothing shows up and seems like it's not getting registered.
The user adeleo was not added locally in the machine as I understood NSS could take care of this. getent passwd adeleo on the registered machine correctly shows the account and my name from the authentik.

Is it possible I missed something?

Running version 2026.5.2
