To be fully attractive and useful, NetworkStatus need to have many instances everywhere in the world.
That's why I think about Open-source the code and try to encourage some users to have a NetworkStatus instance.
Another good solution is to have one server per continent (or more) with NetworkStatus instance. It can be cool to connect to na.netstat.hivelive.me for North America or eu.netstat.hivelive.me for Europe.
