Lately I tried to compile your code using KF5 5.64 and Qt 5.13.2. Kaption fails to link as it cannot find KF5::Auth (although I have it). If I manually remove that link inside the code, it builds fine, but then misbehaves: the buttons along the left side of the editor window look erraneously.
It would be great if you update the Kaption code in order to fix it.
