FAILED TO CONNECT TO ADB CLIENT

So I just updated ax manager and for some reason I try setting wireless debugging up and it shows failed to connect to ADB client.
How do I fix this?

1. Restart ADB and Check for Port Conflicts

· Restart ADB on your computer:

adb start-server

· If it fails to start, check what's using the port:

netstat -ano | findstr 5037

End that process in Task Manager. (Some phone companion apps and emulators often occupy this port.)

2. Verify Wireless Debugging Pairing Steps

The “Searching for pairing device” notification means pairing hasn’t finished yet. On Android 11+ it's a two-step process:

· Step 1 - Pair: In Developer Options > Wireless debugging, tap "Pair device with pairing code". A 6-digit code and port will appear. Enter these into AxManager’s pairing screen (not the main connect screen).
· Step 2 - Connect: Once paired, note the IP & Port shown on the main Wireless debugging screen (e.g., 192.168.1.5 : 43221). Enter this into AxManager’s main connection screen.

3. Clear AxManager App Data

The update might have broken old permissions or caches:

1. Go to Phone Settings > Apps > AxManager.
2. Tap Storage > Clear cache and Clear data.
3. Make sure AxManager has notification and background permissions enabled.
4. Reopen the app and redo the wireless debugging pairing steps.

If nothing works, it might be a bug in the updated version. issue for a fix from the developer.
