Text formatting, typography rules

Hello.
The general appearance of the tutor makes it unreadable. The letter spacing is insane.
I even noticed that 'end of line' characters have been inserted after each letter. That is total insanity.
I'm sorry, there is no other word to describe that.
I also found that a same word could appear in two different ways, in the same text section.
i attach a picture so everything is clearly shown, with a normal text display, to compare readability.

Here's a list of what should be done :

• show a text that is readable, no weird letter spacing, no interwind 'end of line' char between letters.
• don't be fancy, abide to generally accepted rules of typography (which is achieved as soon as plain text and not moded fonts are used).
• use the vim typeface, consolas, courrier new, liberation mono, or whatever font that is lightning speed readable.
• have mercy for our eyes, and avoid us headaches.

Taking that in account will make the tool not more usable, but usable. The tutorial seems to contain a lot of sections, so why not make it smooth to use. It would be a great tool.

Hey, that makes sense. Thanks for giving some pointers.

Here's some context:
The whole project is based on clever hacks, as it was originally just fun stuff.
It's main purpose was (is) to quickly to give some idea what Vim is in a light-hearted way and the wacky graphics and bonkers of an implementation reflects that — and that I have little graphics designer mindset, not to speak of skillset.

Anyway, here is a bigger problem: the project is not very well thought out pedagogically content/navigation-wise (maybe the idea and some of the quips are solid enough).
Making it more serious-looking, well-polished and not headache inducing might be more of a priority then.
Though, I'm not against it, you absolutely can keep the playful look with those changes you suggest.
I just don't really maintain this much.

I'd be willing to look at a small changeset as a PR, if someone potentially wouldn't mind wasting time, in case I reject it.
