Title of the Manuscript Project: Is my forecast any good? A practical guide to assessing ecological forecast success and quality
Short overview paragraph:
We distill the findings of our working group regarding forecast success, quality, cost, and transferability into a practical guide aimed at practitioners. This moves beyond our first academic perspective paper to give more targeted guidance on how to use our criteria as a checklist to assess existing forecasts or when developing new ones.
Participant list: Luke Evans, Gerbrand Koren, Solene Marion.
Estimated timeline: Aim for first submission by December 2026
Co-authorship guidelines that list ways people can participate: Participants will have been involved in initial working group activities such as workshops and scoping exercises. Full authorship requires contribution to the text or figures of this manuscript.
Any other details that are important to share with potential co-authors: We are currently closed to new co-authors.
