Hey @iamluan : Thanks for taking a look! The idea is from #17 (which I just re-opened).
The resolution of data you plotted are too low (since those have been dramatically reduced) so one doesn't see the actual daily patterns in it. The figs I included in #17 contains the detailed patterns.

I think it would be useful to have both the single-day "stacked" view as in #17 or the multi-day view you show here.

How about you expand a bit on this issue description to include the key elements in #83? I'll talk with @LOCEANlloydizard to close #83 and change the linking in the parent issue (#234) to this one. So effectively we will have 2 issues, one for single-day "Stacked" view and one for the multi-day view.

Thanks for the clarification.

I have created a prototype cube echogram (the video below), plotted using pyvista. I have also tried plotly, but performance is poor as it's slow and sometime freeze. I plan to add a widget for choosing a channel. There is a problem with rendering pyvista plots via panel as specified here, but I think it should belong to another issue.

For the API, I’m thinking of something along the lines of: MVBS_ds.eshader.echogram_cube(...), or a separate class/function like EchogramCube(MVBS_ds)

Yeah. As in the echogram cube, I used concatenated_MVBS.nc, so the date axis looks short, and the top face does not show a sandglass shape as expected. Do we have a larger dataset for testing?

Should I specify the key elements in #83 (2D echogram with a date slider) or about the echogram cube in #17? Correct me if I misunderstand.
