MCP protocoldoesn't support Claude's current authentication method

The Steam MCP server is built with Java (OpenJDK 21) and Maven
Claude is sending a _claudeMcpAuthToken field that the server doesn't recognize
This suggests the MCP protocol implementation is outdated

Im a noob to all this so I may be doing something wrong but I cannot seem to get this functioning with Claude 4. Does this need an update or am I setting up the MCP wrong?

I'm using claude sonnet 4.6 with cursor and had to make the changes in the PR to get it working.
